Aquia Jones recorded at least seven kills for the sixth time in the last seven matches, but preseason-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) favorite USC Aiken was too much for the UNC Pembroke volleyball team, as the host Pacers turned back the Braves in straight sets.

Aquia Jones gave the Braves an early advantage with a kill on the match's first rally.
-The Pacers answered by rattling off the next six points and 12 of the next 14 to take a 12-3 lead.
-Up 21-10, USC Aiken took advantage of back-to-back UNCP attack errors before Julia Forster ended the set with a pair of kills.
SECOND SET
-The hosts picked up right where they left off in set one by cashing in the first five points of the second stanza.
-UNCP cut its deficit to six (11-5) on a
Tyler Fitzpatrick kill, but USC Aiken tallied the next six-consecutive points to grab a commanding 17-5 lead.

THIRD SET

Kaila Crowder gave the Braves an early lead at 3-0.
-UNCP led 5-3 after a Tyndall kill and Pacer error, but the hosts came to life and scored the next five points to go ahead 8-3.
-Six points later, USC Aiken kicked off another 5-0 run to take a 15-8 lead that would never be cut to fewer than five.
