Soccer Picks Up First Road Win, Blanks Georgia Southwestern

AMERICUS, Ga. – Senior Stacey Scott turned in her sixth career multi-goal game, junior Gina Ryan registered her 21st career clean sheet and the UNC Pembroke soccer team picked up its first road win of the season with a 2-0 victory at Georgia Southwestern on Saturday evening.

It was the second Peach Belt Conference victory in the last three outings for the Braves (5-4-0, 2-3-0 PBC) who put the clamp on a four-game road losing skid this season as well. The setback marked the 10th-straight loss for the Hurricanes (2-11-0, 0-7-0) who also fell to 0-13-0 all-time in the series with the Black & Gold.
