Wrestling Sends Three To Podum At Georgia Open

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – Marcus Bell rebounded from a loss in his opening match of the day to register three victories in the 197-pound consolation tournament on the way to finishing third and highlighting action for the UNC Pembroke wrestling team on Saturday at the Emmanuel-hosted Georgia Open.
 
Bell was joined at the podium by Joey Perez (149 pounds) and Hunter Strickland (184) who finished fourth and fifth in their respective tournaments. Four of UNCP's eight entries into the tournament posted at least two victories, with Perez amassing a team-best four wins on the day.
