MATCH REPLAY
SET 1 I 25-21 The Braves did not trail in the opening set, but had to overcome seven service errors on the way to taking early control of the night. Anixa Rosa-Martinez's kill gave the set its second tie score, 5-5, but UNCP responded with five-straight points and built its lead to as many as six points, 18-12, following an attack error by the hosts.
SET 2 I 25-19 UNCP hit a respectable .211 at the net in the second set and kept Chowan at arm's length for a good portion of it to secure the win. The Hawks put together a 5-0 run of their own to pull to within a point, 18-17, late, but the Braves captured five of the last six points to close it out.
SET 3 I 26-24 Chowan registered four service aces and kept its errors at a minimum in the third set and boasted a seven-point lead midway through, but the Braves rallied to own the night. The Hawks raked in eight of the set's first 10 points and led by as much as 15-8 following an attack error by the Black & Gold. The Hawks led 23-19 after a kill from Sydney Hiner, and served for set point when Anixa Rosa-Martinez gave her team a 24-22 advantage.
