TOP 3 The Braves loaded the bases with their first three at-bats of the frame, and Bobby Dixon's RBI single pushed the lead out to 4-0 with a single to left field. The rally ended there, however, as AU reliever Brent Reynolds settled down and retired the next three hitters in order.
TOP 4 Connor Grainger laced a one-out double to the gap in left field, and Elijah Helton followed with a single through the left side to set up a two-out RBI single from Jarratt Mobley two at-bats later.
TOP 5 Luke Jackson hit one-out single through the left side, and Trevor Clemons pushed the lead out to 7-0 with a RBI triple to the gap in right field. Ethan Baucom's 2-run homer moments later made it a 9-0 affair.
TOP 7 UNCP put a pair of runners into scoring position with its first two at-bats, and Bobby Dixon capped the scoring in the game for the Braves with a two-out double to left field three batters later to plate both runs.
BOT 7 Anderson used an ill-timed error by the Braves to plate its first run of the outing and spoil the shutout. Brandon Odachowski's RBI groundout with one out showing eventually plated the run.
BOT 9 BThe Trojans registered singles in five of their first six at-bats in the home half of the ninth, including a two-run knock from Brandon Odachowski. Tyler Berry drew a bases-loaded walk to cap the scoring on the day before UNCP reliever Dylan Radford induced a game-ending double play from the bat of Trevor Weisner.
