HICKORY – The UNC Pembroke soccer team took a 1-0 lead into the half thanks to a 33
rd minute goal from freshman
Zion Sellers, but Lenoir-Rhyne netted two scores in the second half, including the eventually game-winning goal in the 75
th minute, to slip past the Braves, 2-1, on Saturday evening at Moretz Complex.
It was the first loss of the season for the Black & Gold (2-1-0) who managed to out-shoot the Bears (4-0-0) in the contest, including a 7-3 disparity in the second half. The Bears have now captured two of the last three games in the series with UNCP.
