MATCH REPLAY
SET 1 I 25-20 The Braves came out of the gates on fire for the second-straight night, this time hitting at a .384 rate at the net on the way to a five-point victory. The Knights trailed by just one, 8-7, following a kill from Shalia Powell, but UNCP put together a 5-1 run before hitting cruise control the rest of the way out. The Braves led 23-16 after a kill from Raven Oates, and won two of the last three points to close out the set.
SET 2 I 25-20 St. Andrews used a 5-1 run to eventually forge a 12-7 lead and force a timeout by the Braves, but UNCP came out of the break with a purpose and slowly chipped away at its deficit. The Knights righted their ship and padded their advantage out to three points, 18-15, on Alex Blackwell's key, but the Black & Gold tacked up six of the next seven points to storm ahead for good. The Braves would close out the set with a 4-1 run.
SET 3 I 25-13 UNCP continued its momentum into the third set and posted a .484 hitting percentage to leave no doubt. The Braves led 18-4 after a kill from Ashley Caesar, and extended their lead out to as many as 16 points, 23-7, following April Tankersley's slam. A late run from the Knights was interrupted by an attack error that pushed the visitors' point total to 24, and a kill from Raven Oates closed out the night.
