PEMBROKE – The UNC Pembroke softball team will host Limestone as part of its inaugural Autism Awareness Series on Friday afternoon at the UNCP Softball Field. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. and admission to all 2020 UNCP softball home games is free.
 
The Braves will don custom uniforms as part of the event which is being held in partnership with UNCP's Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) and the Autism Society of North Carolina. Representatives from ARC will be in attendance to provide more information on the Autism Spectrum.
 
Replica shirts will be available for auction with all proceeds going to the Autism Society of North Carolina. Sensory-friendly kits, including ear plugs and manipulative toys, will also be available at the entrance to the stadium. Sensory-friendly designated areas, which will be noted in the provided sensory-friendly guide, are located in and around the stadium.
