PEMBROKE - The University of North Carolina at Pembroke signed 12 football players to national letters of intent on Wednesday during the first day of the 2020 spring signing period.

UNCP, which returns a bulk of the starters off of its 2019 squad, found recruits at seven different positions, including four on the offensive line and three additions to the defensive line. The Braves also inked a pair of linebackers, and one each at defensive back, quarterback and wide receiver.

"We feel very good about this class," Richardson said. "We were a little more specialized on who we targeted and I think that made recruiting a little more difficult in finalizing those guys. We tried to come out with a well-rounded class and hit every position, with the exception of a couple, and we really feel like we did that. We have a lot of good pieces coming back, so we just want to go out and create some depth for ourselves."
