UNCP forged a 17-15 lead thanks to a service error by the hosts, but Francis Marion responded with seven consecutive points to swing the momentum. The visitors countered by putting up five of the next six points to cut their deficit back to 23-22, but the Patriots used a ball-handling error by the Black & Gold, as well as an ensuing kill by Lily Walton, to close it out. |
