th minute penalty kick gave the UNC Pembroke soccer team its first deficit inside league play this season, but the Braves responded with multi-goal efforts from freshmen
Anna Grossheim and
Abigail Lowry on the way to a 4-1 victory over the Lions on Saturday afternoon at Lumbee River EMC Stadium.
The result helped the Braves (10-3-0, 9-0-0 CC) push their win streak out to nine games, which matched both the 2003 and 2016 squads for the second-longest winning skein in the history of the program. It was the third loss in the last four outings for Emmanuel (3-9-0, 2-6-0) who fell to 0-2-0 all-time in the series with the Black & Gold.
