KANSAS CITY, Mo. – With the win streak stretched to nine games and a clean slate in Conference Carolinas play, the UNC Pembroke soccer team remains in the No. 8 spot in the United Soccer Coaches Association Region Poll for another week, the organization announced Tuesday.
The Braves (10-3-0, 9-0-0 CC) joined 10
th-ranked Mount Olive (10-0-2, 7-0-1 CC), once again, as the only two Conference Carolinas schools to make the list. Former Peach Belt Conference rivals Columbus State, Flagler and North Georgia occupied the Nos. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 spots, respectively, while Lander checked in at No. 9. Catawba claimed the top of the ranking, while Lenoir-Rhyne, Queens and Limestone capped off the top 10.
The Black & Gold currently sit all alone atop the Conference Carolinas standings, and will be back in action on Wednesday when they welcome Wingate (7-4-0) to Pembroke for Spirit Day. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. at Lumbee River EMC Stadium and admission is free.
