Men’s Basketball Too Much For Fayetteville State

PEMBROKE – The UNC Pembroke men's basketball team bridged the first and second half with a 28-8 run and scored 23 points off of 17 turnovers to cruise past visiting Fayetteville State, 77-58, in the home opener for the Braves on Wednesday evening at Lumbee Guaranty Bank Court.

The result helped the Braves (3-0) secure their home opener for the 11th time in the last 12 seasons, while also handing the Black & Gold its eighth-straight victory in the series with their local rivals. The setback marked the first true road loss for the season for the Broncos (2-2) who registered a 23-point victory over visiting Chowan on Monday evening.
