VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. – Freshman
Jack Phieffer logged a personal-best time in the 3000-meter Run on the way to a first place finish on Friday for the first day of the Kenneth Giles Norfolk State Invitational at the Virginia Beach Sports Complex.
Brandon Boyles,
Bennie Oxendine and Cameron Oakley all recorded a personal-best throw in the Weight Throw for a second, third, and fourth place finish, respectively, while
Jathan DeBerry placed third in the 60-meter Hurdles.
On the women's side,
Alayna Richardson (Pole Vault) and
Raigan Evans (Weight Throw) each placed second in their events, while
Quanterra Harrison (60m Hurdles) and
Kathryn Anderson (3000m Run) logged third places finished.
The Braves will be back in action tomorrow for the final day of the Kenneth Giles Norfolk State Invitational. The first event is set to begin at 8 a.m. at the Virginia Beach Sports Complex.
