VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. – The women's 4x400 relay team broke a one-year old school record, while
Aly Hudspeth finished second in the High Jump to close out weekend competition at the Kenneth Giles Norfolk State Invitational on Saturday at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
The relay squad made up of
Azariah Stewart,
Saniya Smith,
Quanterra Harrison and
Leisha Jackson broke the school record by nearly five second with a time of 4:01.65 for a third place finish.
Jack Phieffer (1 Mile Run) and
Orlandus Gamble (High Jump) each recorded a second place finish in their respective events to highlight action for the men's squad.
The teams combined for 13 personal-best marks as well as 17 top-5 finishes.
The Braves will be back in action on February 22 for the Conference Carolinas Conference Championship. The one-day meet will be held at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
