VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. – Alayna Richardson claimed an event title in Pole Vault, while
Deja Aycock recorded an event title in the High Jump to highlight the action for the UNC Pembroke track & field teams on Saturday at the East Coast Invitational.
Richardson recorded a mark of 2.75-meters, while Aycock mark of 1.55-meters on high jump was a new personal-best.
Quanterra Harrison (60m Hurdles) and
Raigan Evans (Weight Throw) each placed second in their events.
On the men's side,
Jathan DeBerry finished second in the High Jump, while
Hunter March placed second in the Pole Vault. DeBerry (60m Hurdles),
Preston Coker (60m Dash, Unseeded),
Todzah Small (Long Jump),
Brandon Boyles (Shot Put),
Andrew Whitaker (Triple Jump),
Hunter Levy (3000m Run) and
Orlandus Gamble (High Jump) all logged a third place finish in their respective events.
The Braves will be back in action next Friday and Saturday at the Kenneth Giles Norfolk State Invitational. The first event is set to begin at 7 a.m. at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
