MOUNT OLIVE -
Brandon Boyles logged a second place finish in the Shot Put, while
Aly Hudspeth (High Jump) and
Alayna Richardson (Pole Vault) each placed third in their events to highlight the action for the UNC Pembroke Track & Field teams on Saturday afternoon at the Trojan Relays at the Ray McDonald Sr. Track & Field Complex.
Boyles throw of 14.34-meters was a personal-best by nearly .21-meters. Boyles also recorded a personal-best mark in the Hammer Throw with a toss of 46.50-meters for a fourth-place finish.
Darrin Elmore finished the 400-meter Hurdles in eighth place with a time of 1:00.31.
On the women's side, Hudspeth cleared 1.60-meters on High Jump for a new personal-best of the season and finish in third.
Lillian Marino produced personal-best throws in all three of her events, Hammer Throw, Shot Put, and Discus Throw. Marino logged fourth-place finishes in Hammer Throw and Discus Throw, while finishing in fifth for Shot Put.
The Braves will be back in action one last time before competing for the Peach Belt Conference Championship when they travel to Columbia, S.C. next weekend for the USC Open. The meet will be held at the Sheila & Morris Creggor Track.
The event is closed and spectators will not be admitted.
