LEXINGTON, Va. – Walker Mabe shattered the 400-meter Dash school record, while
Lillian Marino broke the school record in Weight Throw to highlight action for the UNC Pembroke track & field days on the first day competition at the VMI Winter Relays on Friday at the Corps Physical Training Facility.
Mabe logged a 400-meter Dash time of 50.17 to established a new personal-best time and break a 10-year old school record set by Jonathan Williams in 2012.
Delsin Burkhart nearly broke a school record after a first-place finish in the 1000-meter Run with a personal-best time of 2:30.69.

Raigan Evans last season. Marino now leads Conference Carolinas in the event.
Quanterra Harrison qualified for the 60-meter Hurdle finals after a preliminary time of 8.90, while
Dy'Air McCormick will compete for the 60-meter Dash finals after a fourth-place finish in the semifinals.
The Braves will close out weekend competition on Saturday at the VMI Winter Relays. The first event is set to begin at 10 a.m. at the Corps Physical Training Facility.
