GREENVILLE, S.C. – A stellar performance through December has paid dividends once again for
Zaria Clark when she was named as the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for the second straight time, the league office announced Friday.
A native of Stanley, Clark averaged 8.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. The freshman played key minutes in all five contests during the month and tallied 15 assists, eight steals, and two blocks in those outings. A key reserve, Clark registered a career-best 15 points against Lees-McRae on December 3.
During December, the freshman connected on 15-of-25 attempts from the field and was 14-for-15 from the charity stripe. Clark currently leads the conference in free throw percentage and is tied for eighth nationally, shooting an impressive 92.5 percent.
