MURFREESBORO – The UNC Pembroke volleyball team registered double-digit blocks for the fourth time this season, while
Brianna Warren and
Vanja Przulj each accumulated double-figure kills to help pace the Braves to a 3-1 (25-15, 25-22, 19-25, 25-14) victory over Chowan on Tuesday evening at the Bob Burke Court.
The victory for the Black & Gold marked the seventh straight victory of the season and their fourth win on the road.
Brianna Warren finished the night with five blocks to help push her over the 500 mark. Warren has now logged 502 total blocks in her five year career with the Braves.

UNC Pembroke got a quick start taking a 10-4 lead via a kill from Brianna Warren, but Chowan scored three points in a row to trail 11-9. The Hawks committed 11 total attack errors in the opening set, and the Braves cushioned their lead with back-to-back service aces from Hope Turbyfill. |

Elle Mead's kills gave the Black & Gold a 6-1 lead to start the second set. Chowan rattled off four straight points to trim their deficit back to 13-10. The hosts knotted the score at 20 apiece with a kill from Ellie Middleton, but UNCP closed out the set on a 5-2 run. |
SET 3 I 19-25 |
Chowan their first lead of the set, 13-10, with a trio of points before UNC Pembroke could could tie the score at 16 apeice with kills from Shannon Skryd and Emma Fraidenburg. UNCP hit just .108 from the net as Chowan scored five straight points to win set three. |
SET 4 I 25-14 |
Morgan Gibbs and Erin O'Donnell teamed up for a block to spark a 7-0 run to give the Braves a comfortable 17-9 lead. UNCP held the hosts to just a .027 hitting percentage at the net as the Black & Gold scored the final six points of the match. |
