PEMBROKE – The UNC Pembroke softball team recorded 19 hits, including five doubles and two homers on the way to a key Conference Carolinas sweep over Erskine on Saturday afternoon at the UNCP Softball Field. The Braves used a walk off homerun from
Tatum Brummitt to take game one 7-6, and then used a walk off walk from Brummitt in game two to secure the sweep 14-6 in five innings.
The victory for the Braves (15-9, 4-4 CC) marks the 13
th win at home, which is the most since the 2017 season. The setback for the Flying Fleet (6-17, 2-4 CC) marks the fourth straight loss as they remain winless when playing on the road.

Mary Sells doubled down the left field line and scored with a Jordan Adcox single up the middle. Adcox stole second on the next pitch, and would score with a single to the outfield grass from Emily Biddle. Samantha Allred blasted the ball over the left centerfield fence to put UNCP ahead 5-0. |

Erskine loaded the bases after a single and two walks to start the inning. The Flying Feet picked up a run on a fielder's choice followed by a double from Maddie Ingram to drive in two runs and knot the score at 5-5. |
