PEMBROKE – A walk off homerun in the bottom of the seventh inning from
Jordan Adcox helped propel the UNC Pembroke softball team to a 4-2 victory in the opening game against Barton, and completed the sweep with a 4-3 victory in game two with a big homer from
MaKenna Sibbett in the bottom of the sixth inning on Tuesday afternoon at the UNCP Softball Field.
The victories for the Braves (
22-14, 10-8 CC) mark the first conference sweep since March 29 when the Black & Gold picked up two wins on the road against Chowan. The setback for the Bulldogs (25-9, 12-7 CC) marked the first time that Barton has lost both games of a doubleheader during the 2022 season.
