TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The UNC Pembroke softball team produced 26 hits but left 23 runners stranded on the bases as North Greenville battled to sweep both games on Saturday afternoon at Jan McDonald Field. The Crusaders used two multi-run innings in the opening game on the way to a 8-4 victory. NGU completed the sweep with a seven run, three hit seventh inning, fueled by a pair of homers both with two outs for a 9-7 win in the back half of the doubleheader.
The Braves (18-12, 7-7 CC) have now lost three consecutive road outings and fall to 5-7 when playing away from Pembroke. The Crusaders (17-21, 14-10 CC) pushed their win streak out to four games and have now won five out of their last six games on their home field.

The Braves loaded the bases after Jordan Adcox reached on a fielder's choice while Emily Biddle and Samantha Allred each knocked singles into the outfield. MaKenna Sibbett found the outfield grass for a an RBI single to score Adcox, followed by a six-pitch walk from Lauren Hilbourn to walk in Biddle and put UNCP on top 2-0. |

North Greenville's Brianna McRae drew a walk and advanced to second with a single to right field from Virginia Bishop. Madison Pride singled to left field, and scored after an ill-timed fielding error to put the Crusaders ahead 3-2. |

Samantha Allred sent a single up the middle to score Adcox, and Emily Rose followed with a single to load the bases.
