Volleyball Cruises To Victory At Belmont Abbey

BELMONT, N.C. – The UNC Pembroke volleyball team hit a game-best .478 at the net in the final set and forced Belmont Abbey into 29 total attack errors on the way to a 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-12) victory on Tuesday evening inside the Wheeler Center in a key Conference Carolinas matchup.
 
The victory for the Braves (6-10, 3-1 CC) marked the third straight victory against the Crusaders (2-15, 0-3 CC), who have now dropped their last five matches. The outcome for the Black & Gold also was the second straight win on the road for the season.

MATCH REPLAY
SET 1 I 25-15 Belmont Abbey knotted the score at 8 apiece with an ill-timed attack error from UNC Pembroke. The Black & Gold rallied to put together a 7-0 run to push their lead out to 16-9 on the way to solidifying the opening set. 
SET 2 I 25-20 Belmont Abbey took just their second lead of the set 15-14 with a kill from Chloe Lowder. UNCP took the look for good on a 4-0 capped off with a kill from Vanja Przulj. The Braves forced the Crusaders into 10 attack errors during the set. 
SET 3 I 25-12 Red-hot UNC Pembroke hit a game-best .478 from the net in the final set committing just one attack error. The Braves used a 5-0 run to push their lead out to 21-11, and closed out the set winning the last three points.
