Soccer Overcomes Early Deficit To Top Emmanuel

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – Emilia Dingwall's penalty kick goal just 99 seconds into the contest gave home-standing Emmanuel an early lead, but the UNC Pembroke soccer team scored three unanswered goals the rest of the way out to post a 3-1 victory over the Lions on Thursday afternoon at the Stephen Lee Complex.

The result marked the sixth-straight road win for the Braves (10-1-0, 6-0-0 CC) who now own the best 11-match start in the 22-year history of the program. Emmanuel (4-7-1, 3-4-0) fell to 0-3-0 all-time in the series with UNCP, but Thursday's matchup was the first-ever meeting with the Black & Gold in Franklin Springs, Ga.
