PEMBROKE – Britta Schwengle picked up three individual titles while Mariel Mencia Martinez made her season debut with an NCAA B Standard time to highlight action on on Saturday during the UNCP Tri-Meet at the Sue Walsh Swimming Pool. 

UNCP defeated Chowan, 205-35, but fell just short to No. 12 Wingate, 160-101.

Schwengle claimed titles in the 200, 500, and 1000-yard Freestyle events while also breaking facility records in the 200-yard Freestyle and the 1000-yard Freestyle. Mencia Martinez stood at the top of the podium in the 50-yard Freestyle while Benedetta Pepe Pugliese earned titles in the 200-yard Breaststroke and 200-yard Individual Medley. Pepe Pugliese also shattered a facility record during Saturday's competition in the 200-yard Individual Medley.  

The Braves will be back in action on November 11 when they host Barton and Roanoke for a tri-meet. The meet will be held at the Sue Walsh Swimming Pool.
