Braves Tame Bulldogs In Key Conference Win

WILSON – Mercy Bell's brace was just enough for the UNC Pembroke soccer team to pick up a key Conference Carolinas win Saturday evening at Truist Stadium. The Black & Gold is now three points clear of Francis Marion for first place in the division race with two regular season matches remaining.

Anna Grossheim recorded the assist on Bell's game-winner.

The Braves (9-3-2, 7-1-2 CC) moved to 13-3-1 in the all-time series against the Bulldogs (4-5-4, 4-4-3 CC), and has now reeled off 11 straight victories against Barton. The win takes UNCP's unbeaten streak out to eight games, and have not been on the wrong side of a match in over a month.
