PEMBROKE – The UNC Pembroke swimming team won all 14 events on the way to victories over Barton and Roanoke at the UNCP Tri-Meet on Saturday at the Sue Walsh Swimming Pool.

The Braves defeated Barton, 197-60, and knocked off Roanoke 188.5-67.5.

Mariel Mencia Martinez captured event titles in the 50-yard Freestyle as well as the 100-yard Freestyle. Mencia Martinez recorded an NCAA B Standard time in the 50-yard Freestyle. Ketlyn Rodriguez Matos picked up first place finishes in the 100-yard Breaststroke and 200-yard Breaststroke, while also swimming a leg on the 200-yard Medley relay team with Mencia Martinez to win the event. 

The Braves will be back in action on Friday for the Pacer Invitational. The two-day meet will take place at the Pullen Aquatic Center in Cary.
