SACRAMENTO – Sophomore Moureen Kimaiyo put the finishing touches on her 2024 cross country season with a 152^nd place finish after competing at the NCAA National Championships on Saturday at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento.

Kimaiyo covered the 6K course in a time of 22:40.6. The Conference Carolinas Runner of the Year turned in the 17^th-fastest 6K time in program history, and becomes the best finisher in UNC Pembroke women's cross country history. Kimaiyo also became just the second female UNCP runner to participate at the national championship, joining teammate, Jackline Kosgei, who achieved the feat in 2022 and finished 161^st.
