MOUNT OLIVE – 6th-ranked and visiting UNC Pembroke found themselves tied after four matches, before reeling off five-straight wins to clinch the match, as well as least a share of the Conference Carolinas East Division in wrestling action Sunday evening inside Kornegay Arena. The 28-12 win clinched the division's #1 seed, and with it, the designated host site for the Conference Carolinas Tournament set for Sunday, February 18.

The Braves (12-5, 7-1 CC) improved to 4-0 all-time against the Trojans (11-2, 6-2 CC).

After Mount Olive took wins in the 141 and 149 pound bouts, the Black & Gold rattled off five-straight wins to put the match away. 6th-ranked 157 pounder Keegan Roberson and 165 pounder Caleb Grau took decision victories, while top-ranked 174 pounder Scott Joll stayed perfect on the year with a 17-1 tech. fall win.
