Soccer Wins Thriller Against Mount Olive

PEMBROKE – Eli Soderberg's goal with two seconds left in regulation propelled the Braves to a 1-0 win over Mount Olive in Conference Carolinas play Saturday afternoon at LREMC Stadium.

Eugenie Amidou recorded the assist on the game-winner, while Addison Ellsworth made a career-high eight saves to earn her seventh clean sheet of the season.

The Braves (7-6-1, 7-3-1 CC) improved to 16-4-2 in the all-time series with the Trojans (4-9-2, 2-7-2 CC), and have now won five straight in the series.
 
SCORING SUMMARY
90' Eugenie Amidou's pass ahead found Eli Soderberg, who chipped a shot over the Mount Olive goalkeeper off the bottom of the crossbar and just past the goal line to give the Braves the last-second win.
TOP BRAVES
+ Mercy Bell logged match-highs in shots (eight) and shots on goal (three).
+ Eugenie Amidou logged five shots, three shots on goal, and the game-winning assist.
