Soccer Battles To Draw Against Chowan

PEMBROKE – UNC Pembroke turned in its sixth-consecutive clean sheet, but couldn't break through for a goal on the way to a 0-0 tie against Chowan in Conference Carolinas play Saturday afternoon at LREMC Stadium.

The clean sheet was the sixth-straight for the Black & Gold, who have given up just a combined 19 shots on goal across the streak. The Braves moved into a tie for second-place for the most consecutive shutouts in program history, just behind the school record of seven set by the 2003 team.

The match marked the first 0-0 tie for the Braves since October 30, 2013 against USC Aiken.

The Braves (5-2-1, 5-0-1 CC) moved to 12-1-2 in the all-time series with the Hawks (3-4-1, 3-2-1 CC).
