HARTSVILLE, S.C. – UNC Pembroke took victories in nine matches on the way to a convincing 41-3 win over Coker in Conference Carolinas dual action Friday night inside the DeLoach Center.

The Braves (9-6, 7-2 CC) remained perfect all-time against the Cobras (10-12, 3-6 CC), moving to 10-0 in the series.

Joey Bruscino got the Braves rolling with a major decision at 125 pounds, while Logan Robinson followed with a first-period pin to give UNCP a quick 10-0 lead. After a Coker win at 133 pounds, the Black & Gold rattled off wins in the remaining bouts, including pins from Mason Diemert (184 pounds) and Massimo Sullivan (285), and tech. falls from Tyler Nelson (149) and Logan Hoffman (174). Mike Lowry recorded a sudden victory win in the 157-pound match, while Aspen Talbot and Chris Dickey added decision wins at 165 and 197 pounds, respectively.

By virtue of finishing third in the Conference Carolinas East Division, the Black & Gold will miss the Conference Carolinas tournament, and will be back in action Saturday, March 1 as they host the Super Region II Championships.
