TWICE AS SWEET! Men’s Basketball Wins Second Consecutive Conference Title

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The UNC Pembroke men's basketball team was firing on all cylinders on Sunday and shot better than 57-percent from the field in both halves to a key a 107-91 victory over Emmanuel in the finals of the Atlantic Casualty Insurance Conference Carolinas Tournament at the Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium.

The Braves (23-6) have now won their last 12 contest and the last two Conference Carolinas Tournament titles over Emmanuel. The setback for the Lions (21-9) snapped an eight-game win streak, which dated back to Feb. 1 when EU lost to UNCP in Pembroke.

The Braves took what would be their largest lead of the contest, 83-58, following a free throw from Ant Abraham with 11-minutes remaining in regulation.
