MYRTLE BEACH – The UNC Pembroke track & field teams brought home two event titles for the third-straight day, as the men's team tallied 132 points to take third place, while the women's squad scored 62 points to finish fifth at the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championships at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

Moureen Kimaiyo picked up her second event title at the championships, this time winning the women's 5000m for the second-straight season with a time of 18:34.36, while Sean Townes took first in the men's 400m with a time of 48.10.

Trent Brown was named the Male Field Athlete of the Meet after taking home champion honors in the decathlon, while also finishing sixth in the pole vault and seventh in the javelin.

On the men's side, Norman Junker added two more top-three finishes, taking second in the 1500m at 4:05.12 and third in the 5000m with a time of 15:21.61. The 4x100m relay team of Javion Seger, Tayvon Callahan, Calen McKinney, and Makhel Henry took second with a time of 40.92. Brace Osewe took third in the 400m hurdles with a personal-best 56.48, Ben Oxendine was third in the javelin with a personal-best mark of 52.83m, while Lucas Nervo placed third in the 1500m with a time of 4:05.47 to round out the All-Conference finishers.

Carina Fiorucci took second in the pole vault with a mark of 3.29m, while Katie-Marie Sherlock was third in the 400m at 56.87 to highlight the All-Conference finishers on the women's side.

The top three finishers in each event were named first, second, and third team All-Conference.

All told, the Braves combined to turn in 28 new personal bests at the event.
