GREENVILLE, S.C. – Following a 41-14 victory over Ferrum on Saturday for the conference opener, Marquis Raspberry has been named as the Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week, while Taylor Harris was named the Conference Carolinas Special Teams Player of the Week, presented by Athletic Solutions, league officials announced Monday afternoon.
 
The announcement marks the third-straight week that the Braves have had a pair players earn weekly awards. It is also the second consecutive weekly honor for Harris. 
 
A native of Washington, D.C., Raspberry logged three solo tackles and assisted on a trio of tackles as well. The redshirt junior had 2.5 tackles for a loss of 19 yards and had 1.5 sacks for a loss of 13 yards. Raspberry forced on fumble, broke up one pass and had one quarterback hurry. 
 
Harris finished Saturday's game averaging 63.4 yards per kickoff including three touchbacks. The Orlando, Fla., native was a perfect 5-for-5 on extra points and made good on both field goal attempts, highlighted by 47-yard attempt in the fourth quarter.
