WINSTON-SALEM – Sofia Skidmore and Shamar Fields each turned in personal-best times to take fourth in their respective events to highlight action on Saturday at the Mondo College Invitational.

Skidmore took fourth in the women's 800m with a time of 2:20.12, while Fields crossed in 6.79 to take fourth in the men's 60m.

Comfort Agwu posted a mark of 13.63 meters to finish ninth in the weight throw, while the 4x400 meter relay team of Skidmore, Ta'Niyah Glaspie, Amaya Spence, and Devyn Soles crossed in 4:13.84 and also finished ninth to round out the top-ten finishers on the women's side.

On the men's side, Abdul Cisse was the lone other top-ten finisher, taking ninth in the weight throw with a mark of 15.04 meters.

Both squads combined to turn in seven new personal bests at the event.

The Braves will be back in action January 25 as they head back to the JDL Fast Track for the JDL Banked Is Better Invitational.
