PEMBROKE – UNC Pembroke exploded for eight runs with two outs in the eighth inning on the way to a 14-6 win over Salem in Game 2 of the series Saturday afternoon at Sammy Cox Field.

Landon Lucas led the way offensively with a 3-4 day and seven RBI, while Kasen McCawley turned in four innings out of the bullpen to pick up his second win of the season.

KEY INNINGS
BOT 1	Salem jumped out to a 1-0 lead for the second-straight day, but a Landon Lucas RBI single in the bottom half of the first knotted the score at 1-1.
BOT 2	After the Tigers jumped back ahead with a two-run top half, the Braves got a Peyton Young RBI single, a Mason Mozeley RBI walk, and a sac fly from Lucas to retake the lead 4-3.
BOT 6	Salem once again jumped back ahead with two runs in the top of the sixth, but a two-RBI double from Lucas gave the Black & Gold a 6-5 lead.
BOT 8	Jacob Smith's two-out, go-ahead RBI single made it 7-6, before the Braves tacked on seven more runs in the frame, with the knockout blow a three-run double from Lucas.
