LEXINGTON, Va. – Sofia Skidmore and Gary Parker each set new school records to highlight Day 2 action Saturday at the VMI Winter Relays.

Skidmore finished second in the women's 800m with a school-record time of 2:17.45, while Gary Parker broke his own record and won the men's weight throw with a mark of 18.59 meters, while also hitting the NCAA Provisional mark.

Sophia Olszak finished eighth in the 3000m with a time of 11:00.80, while Comfort Agwu posted a mark of 13.51 meters to take seventh in the weight throw to round out the top-ten finishers on the women's side.

Calen McKinney took third in the 60m with a time of 6.84 with Payden Lewis turning in a personal-best time of 4:24.31 to finish fifth in the one mile to highlight action on the men's side.

All told, the Braves combined to post 23 new personal bests at the event. 

Both squads will be back in action February 13-14 as they head to Norfolk, Va. for the Pre-National Indoor Meet.
