PEMBROKE – Daniel Stephens will begin his professional baseball journey as the infielder inked a contract with the New Jersey Jackals of the Frontier League.

The Raleigh native was an All-Conference Carolinas 2nd Team selection after logging a .378 batting average atop the lineup for the Black & Gold in 2026, while hitting 19 doubles and seven homers to go along with 44 RBI. Stephens was also 16-20 on stolen base attempts. 

The Jackals play in the East Division of the Atlantic Conference in the Frontier League, with the conference comprised of teams from Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey,  and North Carolina, while also housing three teams in Canada.
