PEMBROKE – Kasen McCawley will begin his professional baseball journey as the righthander inked a contract with the High Point Rockers of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.

The Haw River native made 47 appearances (23 starts) on the mound for the Braves and tallied a 15-6 career record with a 3.82 ERA and 158 strikeouts in 155.2 innings.

McCawley had a career year for the Black & Gold in 2026, logging a 9-3 record with 78 punchouts in 72 innings and throwing UNCP's first solo no-hitter since 2009.

The Rockers play in the South Division of the Atlantic League, which features teams from Kentucky, Maryland, and West Virginia, while the North Division is made up of teams from Maryland, New York, and Pennsylvania.
