Soccer Picks Up Road Win At Ferrum

FERRUM, Va. – After a scoreless first half, UNC Pembroke struck both early and late in the second half on the way to a 2-0 win over Ferrum in Conference Carolinas action Tuesday evening at Penn-Roediger Field.

Mia Wells scored the game-winner nearly five minutes into the second half, while Willow Price tacked on a late goal with just 19 seconds remaining. Hailey Jones picked up the assist on Price's goal.

The Braves (4-1-3, 3-0-2 CC) moved to 4-0-0 in the all-time series with the Panthers (1-6-0, 0-5-0 CC).
 
SCORING SUMMARY
50' Mia Wells collected a loose ball in front of the net and struck it home to give the Braves a 1-0 lead.
90' Hailey Jones fired a strike that was saved by the Ferrum goalkeeper, but the loose ball went right to Willow Price who one-touched it into the back of the net for a late goal.

+ Willow Price tallied one goal on a match and career-high eight shots, while also logging a match and career-high four shots on goal.
+ Mia Wells scored the other goal for the Black & Gold.
