2008 (SOPHOMORE): Played in all 10 games for UNCP  with eight starts to his credit … Booked 14 tackles (six solo),  including three tackles for loss … Also turned in one sack and three  pass break-ups … Recorded two or more tackles against four different  opponents … Registered pass break-ups against Davidson, Edward Waters  and Concord … Tallied a season-best three tackles, including a nine-yard  sack, in UNCP’s comeback victory against Jacksonville … Booked a season  best two solo tackles at Wingate.
2007 (FRESHMAN):  Played in all 11 games for UNCP with three starts to his credit …  Registered 38 tackles (27 solo), including one tackle for loss … Also  intercepted a pair of passes and had five pass break-ups … Recovered a  fumble and blocked a kick as well … Started each of last three games of  season for the Braves … Tallied at least four tackles against six  different opponents … Turned in four tackles at Chowan, including lone  tackle for loss on campaign … Tallied three tackles and a fumble  recovery (14-yard return) against Webber International … Booked five  tackles (four solo) at Edward Waters and followed it up with a  six-tackle (five solo) performance against Faulkner … Also recorded a  pass break-up and blocked a fourth quarter field goal attempt … Turned  in five tackles (four solo) in season finale at North Greenville.
HIGH  SCHOOL: A standout on both sides of the ball for Seventy-First  High School and coach Chuck Marrs … Registered 120 tackles on the  defensive side of the ball, as well 108 yards (89 receiving, 19 rushing)  and three touchdowns on offense, in pacing the Falcons to their  second-straight state playoff appearance … Named Time Warner Player of  the Week after an impact performance against Jack Britt High School …  Rushed 89 times for 296 yards and four touchdowns as a junior … Also  lettered in track & field for the Falcons.
