AS A SOPHOMORE AT CHOWAN (2022): Started all 11 games on the right side of the offensive line … Helped lead a unit that paved the way for NCAA Division II’s 49^th-ranked rushing offense (171.2 yards/game).
 
AS A FRESHMAN AT CHOWAN (2021): Started all 10 games on the right side of the offensive line … Chowan showcased the CIAA’s sixth-best rushing offense, and ranked among NCAA Division II leaders in sacks allowed per game.
 
AS A FRESHMAN AT CHOWAN (2020): Team did not compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at North Lenoir High School for coach Jim Collins … Earned all-area laurels as a senior after anchoring an offensive line that paved the way for an offense that averaged nearly 280 rushing yards per game … Also amassed 48 tackles, including 14-1/2 tackles for loss, as a defensive lineman for the Hawks … Added a forced fumble and a blocked field goal as well … Also lettered in wrestling and baseball at North Lenoir … Was a 2-time state qualifier as a part of the wrestling team, while also picking up the region and conference championship as a senior as well.
 
PERSONAL: The son of Christy Williams and Craig Russell … Has three brothers – Cassius, Jordan and Isaac – and three sisters – Morgan, Brianna and Genesis … Maintained a 3.5 cumulative grade point average at North Lenoir High School … Hobbies include watching anime … Favorite movie is The Princess Bride and his favorite sports team is the New York Giants … Favorite food is crab legs … An exercise & sports science major at UNCP.
