HIGH SCHOOL: A decorated kicker at Piedmont High School for coach Jeff Pucek … Earned a pair of all-conference and all-county laurels and was an integral part in a 9-4 season for the Panthers, including a spot in the state playoffs … Earned all-count nods on the soccer field, as well as team most valuable player and defensive most valuable player accolades as well … Also lettered in swimming, tennis and track & field for the Panthers.

PERSONAL: The son of Jan and Michael Rowell was born on Oct. 27, 1987 … Has two younger brothers, Spencer and Skylar … Graduated in the top 12 percent of his 356-member senior class at Piedmont High School while maintaining a 3.8 cumulative grade point average … A biology major at UNCP.
