PEMBROKE – UNCP will hold its second annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) Clinic for girls in Pembroke and the surrounding communities. The clinic will be held on February 1 from 9 a.m. to noon.
 
The clinic is one of more than 500 events taking place across the country for NGWSD. The day is devoted to recognizing the progress of girls and women in sports and the benefits that sports and fitness activities can bring to the lives of all girls and women. The day is organized nationally by the Women's Sports Foundation.
 
The clinic will be comprised of a brief Q&A session with UNCP women's varsity student-athletes and coaches, a skill station lead by different UNCP women's teams and a student-athlete autograph session to conclude the day.
