PEMBROKE – The UNC Pembroke baseball team will begin the year ranked inside the top 15, as the Braves came in at No. 11 in the D2 Baseball Preseason poll released last week.
 
The Black & Gold is joined by two Conference Carolinas teams, No. 13 North Greenville and No. 15 Young Harris, and two other NCAA Southeast region teams, No. 3 Catawba and No. 14 Georgia College.
 
UNCP will open its 2025 campaign on Saturday, February 1 with a three-game series against Lake Erie. Due to ongoing renovations at Sammy Cox Field, the series will take place at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary.
