GREENVILLE, S.C. – After helping the UNC Pembroke men's basketball team to a pair of wins, Javonte Waverly has been named as the Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Week presented by Athletic Solutions, league officials announced Monday afternoon. 
 
A native of Henderson, Waverly started in both games and averaged 20.5 points per game while shooting 70 percent from the field. The senior started the week with a game-high 23 points against Fayetteville State. Waverly closed out the week with 18 points against Young Harris. He tallied seven rebounds and one assist on the week as well.
 
Waverly is averaging 21.5 points per game and is shooting 52.6 percent from the field. He ranks third in the league in points per game.
