MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Norman Junker and Malea Bennewitz each brought home event titles in the 1 mile run to highlight action Friday at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational.

Junker crossed in 4:21.04 to take the title in the men's open division, while Bennewitz ran a 5:32.91 to take her event title, also in the open division.

Camren Stamp ran a personal-best 1:59.43 in the 800m open to take second place, while Antony Kigen took second in the 5000m with a personal-best time of 15:05.58. Kelvin Kibet crossed in 15:32.84 to take fourth in the 5000m, while the 4x200m relay team of Daniel Dawson, Braylon Brooks, Isaiah Sykes, and Calen McKinney also took fourth at 1:27.13 to round out the top-five finishers on the men's side.
 
On the women's side, Leticia Pena took third in the 1 mile open with a time of 6:03.22, with the 4x200m relay team of Ashlyn Turner, McKylee Mosby, Ta'Niyah Glaspie, and Katie-Marie Sherlock also taking fourth to round out the top-five finishers.

The Braves will be back in action Saturday as they wrap up competition at the Shamrock Invitational.
