GREENVILLE, S.C. – After a 2024 season that saw the UNC Pembroke volleyball team in the championship match for the third consecutive year, the Braves were picked to finish sixth in the release of the Conference Carolinas Preseason Coaches Poll.
 
The Braves picked up one first place vote and a total of 175 points in Tuesday's release. Emmanuel was tabbed as the favorite to win the title gathering nine first-place votes and a total of 215 points, followed by Francis Marion who earned 192 points and three first-place votes. Converse, who won the 2024 Conference Carolinas Championship tallied the last three first-place votes and 190 total points. 
 
Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own teams. 
 
The Braves will officially begin the 2025 season on September 4 when they travel to play Wingate in the Bulldog classic. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. inside Cuddy Arena.
